Canada gave Kyiv a draft of its proposed security assurances plan for Ukraine this past week — a major event in Ukrainian news media circles that passed without comment in Ottawa.

Currently, seven Bulgarian F-16s are in various stages of production, and the inaugural flight of the first Bulgarian F-16 Block 70 is planned for later this year. 

The in-service support deal will help ensure the widely used Griffon helicopters are operational into the mid-2030s.
