Terma North America under contract with Lockheed Martin on the C-130J
Atlanta, February 26, 2020 - Lockheed Martin has awarded a $15M firm-fixed price contract to Terma North America to provide the ALQ-213A Defensive Aids Controller (DAC) and Range-Less Electronic Warfare Training (REWT) for the USAF HC-130J.
The program allows integration of the Defensive System Suite to the HC-130J and provides the aircrew with the capability to perform realistic EW training while flying their mission. This provides a more flexible, cost-effective EW training compared to training on EW ranges.
Terma has been providing EW Embedded Training systems for various military aircraft over the past 15 years with great success. REWT is latest version of advanced realistic EW training systems from Terma.
Further the ALQ-213A based integration will provide the aircrew enhanced control of the HC-130J defensive systems and provisions that allow the addition of future systems to the Defensive Systems Suite.
Lockheed Martin will be the prime contractor and will certify the Defensive Systems Suite capability on the HC-130J.

Terma North America has provided the ALQ-213A DAC in the past for several international C-130J aircraft, where special defensive systems integration was required, under contracts with Lockheed Martin in Marietta. The company's primary focuses are providing advanced System Level Capabilities, hardware, integration, and sustainment to protect the warfighter. Because of the company legacy on these aircraft, Terma North America is honored to continue to provide hardware to the USAF C-130J fleet.

ManTech wins IT contract to support US Navy ship maintenance
Andrew Eversden WASHINGTON — ManTech has won an $87 million contract for IT work on U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command's ship maintenance mission, the company announced July 22. Under the five-year contract, ManTech will support the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution, or NMMES, run by NAVSEA. ManTech will provide the command with advanced IT software research, development and engineering, according to a news release. The defense contractor will “accelerate cost-efficient software development cycle times, speeding maintenance activity access to the highest quality high-technology solutions with greater leverage on an expansive data library,” the release said. “ManTech will improve the quality, integration and efficiency of the NMMES architecture to enhance ship maintenance operations and improve readiness for the Navy's most critical surface and submarine platforms,” said Andy Twomey, ManTech executive vice president and general manager of the defense sector. The executive added that the solutions include robotic process automation, agile DevSecOps software modeling and artificial intelligence-automated cybersecurity. NNMES is an IT system used for ship repair at its four public shipyards: Norfolk, Virginia; Portsmouth, Virginia; Puget Sound, Washington; and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Nouvelle version du Black Eagle 50
Steadicopter présente une nouvelle version de son drone Black Eagle 50. A l'occasion du salon DSEI, l'entreprise israélienne Steadicopter présentera une version modernisée du Black Eagle 50. Cet aéronef correspond à un drone VTOL (à décollage et atterrissage vertical), capable de mener des missions civiles et militaires. Il a principalement été mis au point pour la conduite d'opérations ISTAR (renseignement, surveillance, acquisition de cible, reconnaissance). La nouvelle version du Black Eagle 50 repose sur deux nouveautés majeures. D'une part, l'aéronef a été équipé d'un système de navigation inertielle, lui permettant de se déplacer sans accès au signal GPS et de calculer les coordonnées de l'appareil en permanence. Deuxième grosse amélioration apportée au Black Eagle 50, l'appareil a été modifié afin de pouvoir conduire des missions en environnement naval, voire même d'être embarqué à bord d'un b'timent. Le Black Eagle 50 peut ainsi désormais conduire des missions sur terre et en mer. Son endurance, comprise entre 3 et 4 heures, et sa portée, pouvant atteindre les 150 km, lui permettent ainsi de couvrir de large périmètre à chaque mission. Equipé de capteurs permettant de conduire des missions en environnement diurne et nocturne, le Black Eagle 50 peut emporter une charge utile allant jusqu'à 5 kilos, pour une masse à vide de 27 kilos.
