    Collins Aerospace wins T-X subsystem contracts

    Beth Stevenson, London - Jane's Defence Weekly Boeing has contracted Collins Aerospace to provide the Aces 5 ejection seat and an integrated landing gear system for the T-X trainer aircraft. Aces 5 provides passive head and neck protection, arm and leg flail prevention, and a load-compensating catapult rocket that varies its thrust based on the weight of the user, Collins says.
