    Australia begins work on satellite ground station as Airbus supports space aims

    Beth Stevenson, London - IHS Jane's Defence Industry The building of a new satellite ground station to support a wideband satellite communications network for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has begun at Kapooka in New South Wales, Australia. Expected to be completed in 2021, the new site is being supported by Northrop Grumman and Viasat under an AUD24 million (USD17.3 million) investment.
