    Maritime Security and Coastal Surveillance Asia 2018

    Leveraging Inter-Agency Cooperation and Smart Technology to Achieve Maritime Domain Awareness While maritime security and coastal surveillance priorities may differ between the nations, regional priorities remain largely the same for Southeast Asia. Growing tensions in the South China Sea and a rise in non-traditional maritime security threats - non-state insurgencies, maritime terrorism, transnational crimes, illegal fishing, smuggling, humanitarian and disaster relief, crisis management and first response operations continue to be key challenges faced by the region.     Our Warfighter Systems Summit will convene experts from across the DoD to discuss maximizing warfighter lethality by improving the combat preparedness, survivability, and resiliency of our nation's close combat forces. Speakers from the Army, Marines and Special Forces will discuss the most pressing capability gaps and the initiatives aimed at ensuring the US maintains a decisive overmatch at the warfighter and ground level.     Séance WebEx (webinaire) sur les perspectives d'approvisionnement maritime fédéral et rencontres téléphoniques individuelles (entre les représentants du gouvernement et de l'industrie): 20-22 novembre 2018 Services publics et Approvisionnement Canada (SPAC), avec l'appui du ministère de la Défense nationale (MDN), du ministère des Pêches et des Océans (MPO) et de la Garde côtière canadienne (GCC), de Transports Canada (TC), de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC), Sciences et Développement économique Canada (ISDEC), tiendra une mise-à-jour sur les perspectives d'approvisionnement maritime fédéral présentées dans le cadre de Mari-Tech, le mois d'avril dernier à Victoria. En se basant sur les informations présentées, ce WebEx fournira la toute dernière mise à jour des achats à venir. La séance (voir l'ordre du jour préliminaire ci-dessous) est gratuite et donnera un aperçu de l'approvisionnement prévu au cours des trois prochaines années dans les domaines de la construction de petits navires, de la réparation, du radoub et de la prolongation de la vie utile des navires, de la viabilité, de l'affrètement de navires, de l'aliénation et d'autres projets spéciaux relativement à l'équipement maritime. Il fournira également une mise à jour sur les actions proposées et en cours résultant des quatre séances de consultations régionales de l'industrie maritime. Ce WebEx aura lieu le mardi 20 novembre 2018 entre 13:15-14:45 HNE. SPAC a l'intention de tirer parti de cette activité afin de consulter l'industrie conformément aux principes de l'approvisionnement éclairé (consultation tôt dans le processus, gouvernance efficace, conseils indépendants et avantages pour les Canadiens) et, ainsi, nous sommes heureux d'offrir des séances de consultation individuelles entre les représentants du gouvernement et les intervenants de l'industrie intéressés. Ces sessions auront lieu par téléphone, le mercredi le 21 novembre et jeudi 22 novembre 2018. Cette opportunité devrait être d'intérêt pour les petites et moyennes entreprises maritimes voulant l'emphase portera sur les entreprises maritimes désirant approfondir leur compréhension de besoins spécifiques (jour 1) ou désirant présenter leurs nouvelles capacités/capacités de production ou des pratiques de gestion de projets innovantes (jour 2).
