US Export Controls with REFORM CHANGES Seminar

This seminar series provides both novice and experienced export compliance professionals with a comprehensive education on complying with regulations administered by the US departments of State, Commerce, and Treasury, and what the recent ECR changes and potential coming changes from a new administration mean for their compliance programs. Export Control Reform (ECR) changes have relaxed the controls on most defense-related items and technology, but made understanding and complying with the regulations even more complicated. The shift of most military and space items from the ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) to the EAR (Export Administration Regulations) forces exporters to learn the highly complicated ins and outs of the EAR. The good news is that the complex rules impose significantly less compliance burdens and fewer compliance-based export delays. So if you learn these rules, you will be able to export sooner and reduce the costs of compliance, giving you a competitive advantage. CTTSO Industry Day

CTTSO MISSION The CTTSO identifies and develops capabilities to combat terrorism and irregular adversaries and to deliver these capabilities to DoD components and interagency partners through rapid research and development, advanced studies and technical innovation, and provision of support to U.S. military operations. ABOUT CTTSO's Industry Day is an opportunity for industry, academia, government labs -- any entity that can conduct business with the U.S. Government and has an interest in submitting bids -- to discuss draft requirements that will form our FY 2020 research and development portfolio. This event is the only opportunity for participants to have face-to-face discussions with CTTSO about FY 2020 requirements. Feedback received from the discussion and exchange of information during this event will help CTTSO clarify and refine requirements for the final broad agency announcement that will be released in January 2019. ...FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS EVENT WILL BE FREE TO ATTEND... That being the case: Participants may only attend the morning or afternoon session. Both sessions are the same. Participants are limited to two per business unit. If your business unit has a compelling reason to send more personnel, please contact Jesenia Vigil before registering your staff. We cannot guarantee your request will be approved. If you registered and can no longer attend, please email Jesenia Vigil so others can participate. The fate of future events will be based on the results of this one. Let's make this fair for everyone so we can continue to offer this event for free! NO walk-in registrations. WHAT TO EXPECT THE DAY OF? After checking in, the time is yours to talk to CTTSO Program Managers and staff about requirements published in the draft BAA. The morning and afternoon session will include a 45-minute briefing that will: Provide an overview about CTTSO, Explain broad agency announcements and rules of engagement during the solicitation period, Provide an overview on BIDS (BAA Information Delivery System), and Explain how we help companies transition technologies developed under the CTTSO portfolio to commercial successes. These briefings will be held once each session with limited seating. Briefers will be available all day to answer your questions. The briefings will also be released in advance with the draft BAA on November 15, 2018 for those that would prefer to spend their time talking to Program Managers and staff about the draft requirements. TIPS FOR SUCCESS Come prepared. Read the draft BAA before coming to Industry Day. It is the sole reason CTTSO releases a draft. Send the right people. Technical people who understand the requirements and can ask constructive questions. No solicitation. This is an event to solely discuss the requirements as presented in the draft BAA. Please do not bring an iPad to show what your company can offer. Wait until the final BAA is released and submit your solution in BIDS! *This event is not affiliated with NDIA.

    Space Resiliency Summit

The 2018 Space Resiliency Summit encourages members of the DoD, Intelligence Community, military services, and critical organizations to come together to discuss solutions and techniques to exploit the space domain. Space is one of our most vulnerable warfighting arenas and our current administration is placing high priority to effectively fight and win against international adversaries. This year's summit will highlight the technology currently underway and the challenges that exist in protecting United States space assets. Topics to be covered at the 2018 Summit: Relying more heavily on commercial products to meet current space policy timelines Partnering with industry to have modular spacecraft to allow government the ability to integrate new payloads Developing space systems that are built to fight and win in a contested environment Ensuring that the US remains mission-ready in space and cyberspace capabilities to prepare for and combat against adversaries Efficiently acquiring commercial space technology to deliver military requirements in a timely manner Encouraging cooperability amongst each of the services to ensure their missions have shared goals in their efforts to dominate space Working to increase interoperability of USAF assets to assume a more resilient position in space Why you should attend this year's Summit: This educational summit will bring together senior Intelligence officials, government leaders, academia, and solution providers to discuss the developing technology, infrastructure, and policy surrounding the space domain's role in upholding the US' national security. Due to the nation's reliance on space for communications, reconnaissance, and missile detection, we must have a way to defend such systems so that our military is not compromised. Participants gathered will discuss the ways in which the US must actively explore options to protect the critical infrastructure and satellite systems we have in space which are vulnerable to physical and cyberattack. Major international competitors continue to mature their space program at a rapid pace and due to this, advanced space-based weaponry and technology have never been more crucial. This event will allow a platform for key government agencies to partner with commercial organizations to advance our space equipment in an already contested and congested environment. Our team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas. We seek to bring together the respected leaders from US military commands, leading research centers, government agencies, and industry technology providers. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers At our Summit you will have the ability: Gain Education & Insight: Walk away with knowledge gained from our senior level speakers on some of the complex challenges facing the US Space domain. Build Partnerships: The agenda is designed to allow for ample networking opportunities and the ability to engage in constructive dialogue among all in attendance. Influence: Help foster ideas! Share your own insight and knowledge during our interactive sessions. All attendees are encouraged to address our speaker faculty and each other with their questions, comments or ideas.

Military Airlift and Air-Air Refuelling Conference

The 19th annual Military Airlift and Air-Air Refuelling conference and exhibition will return to Rome on the 4th and 5th December 2018, with a brand-new pre-conference focus day on Air-Air Refuelling on the 3rd December 2018. With the airlift sector in constant development, there are more than 800 new platforms set to be delivered at a combined value over $65 billion in the next 10 years. The need to transport troops, cargo, medical supplies, vehicles and other mission critical equipment remains fundamental to any defence force that aims to deploy globally. The importance of ready rapid response to ensure these forces can be mobilised and moved quickly is crucial for any expeditionary operation. Sustaining and maintaining this air mobility feeds into the second aspect of this important event. Air-to-Air refuelling remains vital to deliver extended flight time for both transport and strike components of an air force and without which extended aerial deployments would simply not be possible. Key Focuses include: Forward basing and expeditionary operations International operability Training Airlift platform acquisition Air-air refuelling Medevac Pooling and sharing Tactical, humanitarian and strategic airlift Ground Support equipment
