In partnership with Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the SecDev Group, CADSI invites you to attend a roundtable discussion that will explore how the capabilities of Canadian cyber firms can help respond to the unique demands of Ukraine's $100 million cyber security market.

Presenter Profiles:

Rafal Rohozinski (CEO and Principal, SecDev Group)

Rafal Rohozinski is a recognized thought leader in cybersecurity and his work on tracking the Ghostnet - the first documented Chinese cyber espionage network - was featured on the front page of the New York Times. Prior to founding SecDev, Rafal's career included assignments in over 37 countries. He was the director of the Advanced Network Research Group at Cambridge University. He is a senior fellow for Future Conflict and CyberSecurity at the International Institute for Strategic Studies and sits on the executive advisory boards of the Canadian International Council, the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, and the UN Counterterrorism Executive Directorate program on Internet and Terrorism. Rafal is an active commentator on security issues whose work has been featured in newspapers, television, and radio shows, including the New York Times, BBC, Globe and Mail, CBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, WIRED, and the Financial Times. He speaks fluent, English, Russian, Polish, and French.

Kumar Bekbolotov (Senior Associate at the SecDev Group)

Kumar is responsible for regional and industry-tailored risk and opportunity analysis on Eurasia. Kumar brings over 15 years of experience in strategic advisory and management roles centered on public and private sector development in the Eurasian region. In 2008-2012, Kumar was the country executive for Kyrgyzstan at Open Society Foundations, and earlier the country director, Central Asia director at Institute for War and Peace Reporting. Kumar has an MBA degree from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, with focus on international development and an MA degree in political science from the Central European University in Hungary. Kumar is fluent in English, Russian, Kazakh and Kyrgz.
