18 - 19 novembre 2019 2019-11-18 2019-11-19 America/Toronto Maritime Information Warfare Conference London, United Kingdom

We are proud to present the 3rd annual Maritime Information Warfare conference to be held in London. With rapid technological advances changing the way maritime forces utilise and manage information, the ability to wage information warfare has become a critical component of naval capability. Gaining operational effectiveness through "information advantage" is critical to the abilities of any Navy on the world stage. The initial draft of the programme looks at engaging with the cutting edge of information warfare; learning lessons and taking inspiration from exercises across NATO, in particular the Royal Navies Ex Information Warrior in 2018/2019.

This event is about discussing strategies, systems, and new technologies to increase information warfare capabilities, as well as the challenges associated with engaging in information warfare.

The main themes within the conference include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Exploitation and Big data, Cyber Security and Defence, Command Control Communication and Computers (C4), and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR).

Benefits of Attending

The original focus revolved around the Royal Navies Information Warrior Exercise with Admiral George Zambellas providing our focus and keynote speaker and attracting representatives from all major Navies. Since then prominent speakers from the majority of NATO nations (including Vice-Admiral Gilday, US 10th Fleet) have been able to provide unprecedented insights into the status and future of Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technology for both NATO forces and Industry alike. This years conference intends to expand on this, bringing the best and most up-to-date sector knowledge to those who need it.

  • Holistic coverage of Maritime Information Warfare, a wide range of themes that reflect the key aspects of the UK's Information Warrior Exercise
  • Close attention paid to Artificial Intelligence, in particular how a mixture of automation and machine learning is building the platforms and capabilities of the future
  • Updates on information Warfare Compatibility and Platforms across NATO
  • Emphasis on Cyber Warfare, and the importance of more effective Cyber Defence as the maritime sphere becomes more information technology-centric
  • Clarification on the different ways NATO Navies interpret and take advantage of concepts such as Information Exploitation and Cyber Security
