Canada Trade Mission to NATO

24-26 March 2020

NATO procures annually more than $ 7B of goods and services; Canadian suppliers have privileged access to this market.

Global Affairs Canada in collaboration with the Department of National Defence invite you to join a Trade Mission to NATO procurement agencies in Brussels (Be) and Capellen (Luxembourg). The trade mission will take place 24-26 Mar 2020 and will include NATO HQ in Brussels, NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) and NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). Along with promoting the Canadian Defence Industry, this trade mission will give Canadian companies an opportunity to gain insight into NATO procurement programs and procurement strategies with a focus on how Canadian defence and security companies can sell to NATO. It will also include networking sessions with members of the Belgium and Luxembourg Chamber of commerce.

By joining the delegation, you will participate in a 2.5 days engagement focused on facilitating Canadian industry business with NCIA and NSPA. You will take advantage of the multiple networking and partnership development opportunities. Senior Canadian representatives from NATO Headquarters in Brussels will provide the strategic military procurement context while the NCIA and NSPA program Directors will explain how their respective Agency actually manages the procurement process. You will have the opportunity to introduce your business to all participants and be able to have one on one discussions with specific NATO program staff within your area of interest.

NSPA's mission is to provide responsive, effective, and cost-efficient acquisitions including armaments procurement; logistics; operational and systems support and services to the Allies, NATO Military Authorities and partner nations. NSPA employs more than 1500 staff and is headquartered in Capellan (Luxembourg).

NCIA's mission is to develop, procure and support Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance capabilities to NATO. NCIA employs 2500 staff and is headquartered in Brussels (Belgium).
