  Here’s who’s taking over as Sikorsky’s president

  By: Jen Judson WASHINGTON — Lockheed Martin-owned Sikorsky's President Dan Schultz is set to retire at the beginning of 2021 and Paul Lemmo, the company's current vice president of integrated warfare systems and sensors, will take over the role, according to a Nov. 18 Lockheed statement. The bench will shift within Lockheed with Jon Rambeau, the current vice president of C6ISR, taking over for Lemmo. Gregg Bauer, vice president for undersea warfare, will assume Rambeau's role. “Just recently the president of our Sikorsky business, Dan Schultz, announced his decision to retire at the beginning of 2021,” Stephanie Hill, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, said in the statement. “Dan has had a tremendous impact to Lockheed Martin and I'm grateful for his contributions.” Schultz joined Lockheed in 2006. Before assuming his current role at Sikorsky, he was the vice president and general manager of ship and aviation systems. Schultz served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was the program manager for the Joint V-22 Osprey tiltrotor program, according to his company biography. Lemmo “built a broad career” that spans more than 30 years at Lockheed Martin, Hill said. “I'm proud of Lockheed Martin's focus on talent development which allows for smooth and seamless transitions and ensures we continue to support our customers' missions without disruption,” Hill said. Sikorsky is in the midst of two major helicopter competitions with the U.S. Army — the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) and the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA).   Raytheon, Missile Defense Agency sign landmark $2 billion Standard Missile-3 contract

  Tucson, Ariz., March 30, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) will produce and deliver SM-3(®) Block IB interceptors under a $2.1 billion, multi-year U.S. Missile Defense Agency contract. It is the first multi-year contract for the SM-3 program, and covers fiscal years 2019-2023. SM-3 is the only ballistic missile interceptor that can be launched on land and at sea. It is deployed worldwide and has achieved more than 30 exoatmospheric intercepts against ballistic missile targets.   Un contrat de 1 milliard de dollars pour moderniser la flotte d'avions AWACS de l'OTAN

  Le secrétaire général de l'OTAN, Jens Stoltenberg, et le président de Boeing International, Michael Arthur, étaient à l'aéroport de Melsbroek, près de Bruxelles, ce mercredi (27 novembre 2019) pour célébrer un investissement majeur dans la flotte d'avions de surveillance AWACS de l'Alliance. Ce contrat d'un milliard de dollars signé entre l'OTAN et Boeing est destiné à moderniser la flotte d'avions AWACS afin qu'elle puisse continuer d'appuyer les missions de l'Alliance jusqu'en 2035. « Les AWCS sont nos yeux dans le ciel. Ils sont indispensables à nos opérations depuis des dizaines d'années : patrouilles dans l'espace américain après le 11-Septembre, opérations en Afghanistan, missions dans le cadre de la coalition internationale contre l'EIIL », a expliqué le secrétaire général. Il s'est félicité du contrat signé avec Boeing, qui permettra d'intégrer dans les 14 appareils AWACS de l'OTAN de toutes nouvelles capacités de communication et de mise en réseau. Seize pays membres de l'Alliance, de part et d'autre de l'Atlantique, financent cette modernisation, et des entreprises basées en Europe et aux États-Unis travaillent ensemble pour fournir ces capacités de pointe. « Les AWACS symbolisent l'excellence transatlantique, tant par leurs aspects technologiques que par ce partenariat entre Boeing, l'OTAN et l'Europe. Ce programme de modernisation va permettre à ces appareils de rester à la pointe du progrès », a déclaré Michael Arthur.
