    Vision 2025: Déjeuner-causerie dans le contexte des élections fédérales

    Manufacturing for US – Canadian Aerospace Corridor

    US – Canadian Aerospace Corridor via Vermont Québec – Vermont – Connecticut View Exhibitors and OEMs In 2013 the Vermont Aerospace & Aviation Association, a division of the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Aéro Montréal, a strategic think tank for Québec's $13.8 billion aerospace cluster, at the 4th edition of Aéro Montréal's International Aerospace Innovation Forum in Montreal. The vision and mission of the MOU and partnership is to create a U.S. – Canadian Aerospace Corridor via Vermont and facilitate the flow of supply chain contacts and opportunities between Vermont and Canada's aerospace industries. The $28 billion Canadian aerospace industry is the fifth largest in the world and is home to renowned aerospace OEMs, including Bombardier, Bell Flight, CAE, GE Canada, Héroux-Devtek, and Pratt & Whitney Canada. Most Canadian companies source over 50% of their aerospace parts from the U.S. Canada is also a major exporter and exports 80% of its aerospace production. Vermont, in return, offers Canada access to the state's $2 billion aerospace manufacturing and civil aviation industry and supplier base with proven chain capabilities in precision machining, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), landing gear, fuel gauging, sensors, sensing systems, and electronics for aerospace and aviation applications. Vermont's close proximity to Canada is also a competitive gateway with access to the entire North American market and large government contractors in both the U.S. aerospace and defense industries. The worldwide aerospace industry is a $560 billion market. The Aerospace Trade Corridor is now being extended to Connecticut aerospace, home to a workforce of 91,500 and industry aerospace OEMs, including United Technologies Corporation (UTC), Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky and KAMAN Aerospace.     Welcome to the Airlift community's annual international meeting Connecting military users, Multinational Organisations and NGOs, Military Airlift 2019 will assess the interconnected challenges faced and the solutions sought by the airlift community over the last year in relation to improving equipment, capability, procurement processes, strategy and tactics. With an agenda designed to reflect the varied and global nature of airlift operations, dedicated sessions have been designed to discuss the decreasing capability of legacy fleets, changing procurement processes and the ever-increasing geographical scope for pooling and sharing assets, the development of plans to facilitate the use of multi-purpose and multi-mission equipment, and the training, tactics and procedures designed to prepare for operations in challenging environments. Whilst these interdisciplinary conversations take place in an effort to deliver greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness for user groups, this event will also continue its rich history of delivering the latest operational feedback and performance analysis across the strategic, tactical and air-to-air refueling mission sets.
