Full Spectrum Air Defence International Conference

Full Spectrum Air Defence International 2019: The Gathering of the World's Air Defence Community As the world's military returns to conventional warfighting roles, air defence has once again become the first line of defence for the world's armed forces. With new ballistic capabilities being developed by near-peer adversaries in Eastern Europe and Asia, major advances already witnessed in cruise missile systems, and the proliferation of UAV's across all size and classes, the need to rapidly evolve air defence systems has become a necessity across all defence forces. Building upon the previous success of the Integrated Air and Missile Defence conference as the chosen forum for the international air defence community, the Full Spectrum Air Defence International has been built in response to the military need to consider the total operating environment. Designed to expand the conversation to address the full scale, and range, of air defence, the conference will determine strategy, integrate technology and define approaches for international cooperation and integration across the full spectrum of air defence, with briefings from key decision makers from strategic air defence commands and capability demonstrations from leading industry partners in air defence. With ever increasing threats from state and non-state actors alike, the need for an immediate global response has never been greater. The Full Spectrum Air Defence International conference will take place 24-26 September in Berlin. Key themes include: How can air defenders be aided by the OEM and systems integrators to smooth the transition from legacy to contemporary assets? As threats become increasingly varied, what options are there for multi-modal air defence systems, such as directed energy, which can engage a range of targets? What benefits and limitations to these futuristic systems? In what ways can nations increase the integration of Air Defences across different planes, for example Ground-Based and Sea-Based, in an effort to create a more seamless reactive capability? What lessons can be transferred between GBAD commanders in different regions of the world, in terms of meeting operational challenges? https://www.asdevents.com/event.asp?id=20472

Disruptive Technology for Defence Transformation Conference

Delivering Capability for Machine-Speed Warfare 'Beyond current readiness concerns, we are at an inflection point where we can no longer afford to defer modernizing our capabilities and developing new ones without eroding competitive advantages of our technology and weapon system' - Gen James McConville, Vice Chief of Staff, US Army Key NATO nations are prioritising disruptive innovation and increasing budgets for data management and digital technologies to transform ISR; C2; the manned/unmanned/autonomous mix on land, at sea, in the air and in space; and enable Synthetic Environments to train for multi-domain operations. In response to this, and the huge success of last year's conference the world leading Disruptive Technology for Defence Transformation Conference will return to London 24-26 September, bringing together 200-250 senior military leaders, government officials, tech and defence industry, research, War and Staff colleges and academia. This breadth of attendance, and the personal interventions of the UK Vice Chief of Defence Staff, Commander Joint Forces Command and many very senior national military and NATO leaders, underlines the developing pace and significance of how Digital Age technology and method are fundamentally reshaping Defence and Security capability and operations. This year's focus is to build on the discussions of last year, examining how the application of Digital Age technology transforms the delivery of 'full spectrum effects': aligning new military hard power with the whole range of soft power including cyber and social media; moving on to establish how acquisition structures and processes can (and must) be adapted to ensure that we are able to keep pace with industry's progression. We had to stop registration early for last year's conference due to reaching maximum capacity. This year, we have allowed more space, expecting 250 attendees, but advise booking early to avoid disappointment. Roundtable discussions are also limited in space - find out more by downloading the agenda. Benefits for the Military Community Develop concepts of operation and establish requirements for the future operating system Accelerate decision-making and enhance fully scalable C2 combat management through AI and big data analysis Transform ISR at the joint and DOD levels through data collection, fusion, analysis, and visualisation Integrate a manned and unmanned mix of capability for the tri-services Enhance training for the future warfighter by establishing a single synthetic training environment and exploiting AR/VR Benefits for the Technology Industry Present your solutions to decision-makers, who are shortening their procurement cycles and accelerating integration of technologies from traditional and commercial solution providers Gain first-hand insights into near, mid, and long-term development plans of NATO militaries to align your systems to capability requirements and secure future partnerships Learn about how your organisation can benefit from defence innovation initiatives, focusing on military exploitation of SME and start-up technologies Be the first to showcase your C4ISR and RAS solutions to Armed Forces' thought leaders, as they finalise requirements for the future Joint Force Enhance your understanding of current experimentation, trialling, and R&D to inform budgetary decisions and develop winning business proposals https://www.asdevents.com/event.asp?id=20473

Cyber Operations for National Defense Summit

The ability to operate freely in the cyber domain is of critical importance to the United States. Our 6th annual Cyber Operations for National Defense Summit will address the internet and internet-enabled technologies and how they enable much of our communications, economic activities, and military capabilities. This reliance on cyberspace makes it an attractive target to malicious actors wishing to harm the United States. Our defense community has always maintained a basic level of cyber security - protecting networks and computers from unauthorized access and attack - but the current threat landscape of great-power competition has necessitated a shift towards offensive cyber operations. These operations are deployed in the same manner as traditional operations, often falling beneath the threshold of war, and are carried out by cyber-specific entities like the Cyber Mission Force. Topics for this Year's Symposium Include: Achieving and Maintaining Cyberspace Superiority at USCYBERCOM Defending Forward to Disrupt and Degrade Malicious Cyber Activity Coordinating Cybersecurity Standards, Policies, and Procedures at the DoD CIO Operationalizing Foreign and Domestic Partnerships for Global Cybersecurity Protecting DoD Systems from Hostile Exploitation and Attack Leveraging Cyberspace Policy and Strategy to Ensure National Security Protecting Critical US Infrastructure from Cyber Threats Why You Should Attend This Symposium: The expansion of the global Cyber Domain has enabled technological advancements and enhanced the capabilities of the Federal Government, the DoD, and the American private sector. However, our reliance on the Cyber Domain leaves us vulnerable to attacks perpetrated by hostile state actors, terrorist groups, and cybercriminals who exploit weaknesses in our systems to interfere with and degrade our defense and commercial networks and critical infrastructure. These cyber intrusions threaten the ability of the US government and military to operate effectively and will become increasingly important to address as our dependence on the Cyber Domain grows. To effectively combat our adversaries and maintain our cyber superiority and freedom of action in the Cyber Domain, the Government has made significant investments in updating its networks and capabilities. Additionally, the signing of a new Presidential Memorandum has provided USCYBERCOM with new cyber authorities that allow for increased offensive cyber operations that will disrupt and deter adversarial activities. Our 6th Annual Cyber Operations for National Defense Symposium will provide a forum to discuss the latest developments in US offensive and defensive cyber capabilities, changes in policy that allow for greater freedom of action in the cyber domain, and the most pressing cyber threats facing our nation. This year's Symposium will foster conversation between relevant stakeholders from the community to discuss how to meet and overcome evolving cyber threats and ensure continued US dominance in cyberspace.
