    Airbus a annoncé le 10 juillet avoir formé avec 20 partenaires australiens le consortium «Team Nightjar» afin de pouvoir positionner son hélicoptère militaire H145M en Australie. Il s'agit de répondre aux besoins exprimés dans le projet Land 2097 Phase 4, visant à doter les forces spéciales australiennes d'une flotte d'hélicoptères multi-rôles de classe 4 tonnes. Parmi les membres de ce consortium figurent notamment, outre Airbus Helicopters, Safran Helicopter Engines Australia, QinetiQ Australia, Microflite, Kratos Australia et Cyborg Dynamics. «L'appareil bimoteur léger est une option éprouvée sur le plan opérationnel, abordable et à faible risque pour l'Australie, complétant le MRH90 Taipan par une mobilité et une connaissance situationnelle améliorées pour les opérations spéciales. En raison de sa taille compacte, le H145M sera optimisé pour les opérations en terrain urbain dense et sera rapidement déployable via un C-17A Globemaster», précise Airbus.     U.S. Navy Orders Four MH-60R Helicopters for Greece

    Richard R. Burgess ARLINGTON, Va. — The U.S. Navy has placed an order with Lockheed Martin for four MH-60R Seahawk multi-mission helicopters for the government of Greece. The Naval Air Systems Command, through the Foreign Military Sales Program, awarded a $194 million contract modification to Lockheed Martin for the helicopters and three airborne low-frequency sonar systems to be used by the helicopters, according to an Oct. 26 Defense Department contract announcement. The MH-60R is the U.S. Navy's maritime strike and anti-submarine helicopter. The helicopter type also has been exported to the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Danish Air Force, and the Royal Saudi Navy. Greece would be the fifth operator and has stated an intent to procure seven. Other nations intent on procuring MH-60Rs are the Republic of Korea and India, which have announced plans for 12 and 24 helicopters, respectively.     Oshkosh Defense Receives $911 Million JLTV Order from US Army

    Oshkosh, Wis. December 1, 2020 - Oshkosh Defense, LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK) company, announced today the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal has placed an order for 2,738 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV), 1,001 companion trailers, and associated kits. The Oshkosh Defense JLTVs will be supplied to the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force along with a select group of NATO and non-NATO allies. This is the second largest order of Oshkosh Defense JLTVs, with a contract value of $911 million.
