  Harris Corporation Awarded $212 Million F/A-18 Electronic Warfare System Contract

  MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) has been awarded a $212 million contract modification to supply the next production lot of electronic jammers to protect U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet aircraft against electronic threats. The contract, which represents the largest order on the program to date, was received during the third quarter of Harris' fiscal 2019. “Our commitment to continually modernize IDECM has helped to keep naval aviators ahead of emerging threats and out of harm's way” Harris will manufacture and deliver Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM) jammers for the F/A-18C/D/E/F variants, with deliveries under the new contract expected to be completed by August 2022. The Harris ALQ-214A(V)4/5 is the key onboard electronic warfare (EW) jamming system for the IDECM program, protecting the aircraft from electronic threats, including sophisticated integrated air defense systems. The award continues Harris' 21-year partnership with the Navy and perfect on-time delivery record over the life of the IDECM program.   DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY Fulcrum IT Services LLC, Centreville, Virginia, has been awarded a labor-hour contract (HHM402-19-C-0012) with a ceiling amount of $128,003,638 for all-source intelligence analysis and operational support services to the Joint Intelligence Operations Center–Korea (JIOC-K), U.S. Forces Korea and six divisions in Korea. Work will be performed in the Republic of Korea with an expected completion date of July 13, 2024, if all options are exercised. Fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $10,000,000 are being obligated at time of award. This contract was a competitive acquisition and seven offers were received. The Virginia Contracting Activity, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity AIR FORCE Defense Research Associates Inc.,* Beavercreek, Ohio, has been awarded an $11,098,274 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development. This contract provides research and development to transition technologies related to long-duration multispectral sensor technology utilizing radiation from numerous sources to obtain warfighter objectives/advantages.   MBDA sélectionné dans un programme de lutte anti-drones de l’Union européenne

  MBDA France a été sélectionné au sein d'un consortium de 42 sociétés par l'Union européenne pour développer une nouvelle architecture de lutte anti-drones. 14 pays européens, dont la France, sont regroupés sur ce programme de développement qui pourrait déboucher sur un programme financé par le fonds européen de défense. MBDA sera en charge, notamment, du développement d'un nouvel effecteur, et de la démonstration qui aura lieu sous deux ans, la durée maximale du programme de 13,5 M€. Plusieurs entités françaises ont également été retenues tels que CILAS, spécialiste français du laser, l'Onera, Thales et CS Group. La France avait lancé ses dernières années plusieurs programmes de lutte anti-drones, dont le MILAD (moyen interarmées de lutte anti-drone), qui n'avait pas eu les résultats attendus par les armées.
