BACKGROUND:
It is the responsibility of the Commander Royal Canadian Air Force, on behalf of the Minister of National Defence and the Chief of the Defence Staff to generate and maintain a combat capable and multi-purpose air force to meet the “Strong Secure Engaged Canada's Defence Policy” 2017 objectives.
Initiative 53 directs that the Royal Canadian Air Force “Acquire aircrew training systems” to ensure that the Canadian Armed Forces remain Strong at home, Secure in North America and Engaged in the World. FAcT will encompass Pilot, Air Combat Systems Officer (ACSO), and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator (AES Op) training.
The consultative process will include an “Industry Engagement Session” followed by one-on-one “Industry Meetings”.
The Industry Engagement Session is scheduled for May 2, 2018 from 0900 hrs to 1500 hrs at the 111 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Arrival and Sign-in will be from 0800 – 0900 hrs.
Industry one-on-one meetings will be scheduled for the afternoon of May 2 at the same location and May 3-4 (if required) at 1 Nicholas Street, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
In order to facilitate the one-on-one meetings, Industry is encouraged to provide written comments and recommendations for their proposed topics for discussion.
