The Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) office of the US Department of Defense (DoD) will be hosting a virtual FCT Overview Briefing in preparation for CANSEC 2022. The briefing will take place next Monday, May 9th, from 2:00-3:30 eastern. The target audience is Canadian defence companies who are interested in learning more about offering their products or services through the FCT program.

The purpose of the FCT Program is to find, assess, and field world-class products with a high Technology Readiness Level (TRL) to satisfy requirements more quickly and economically. FCT provides DoD with a unique acquisition tool to bypass the capability development cycle by enabling the test and evaluation of mature foreign developed technology to determine procurement alternatives for existing or emerging requirements. Essentially, FCT is the “front door” that allows DoD to evaluate unique, non-US technology.
