About Dave Perry Dr. David Perry is the President of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. He is also a columnist for the Canadian Naval Review. He received his PhD in political science from Carleton University where his dissertation examined the link between defence budgeting and defence procurement. He is an adjunct professor at the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary and a research fellow of the Centre for the Study of Security and Development at Dalhousie University.  He was previously the Senior Security and Defence Analyst of the Conference of Defence Associations Institute and Deputy Director of Dalhousie University’s Centre for Foreign Policy Studies.  Embassy Magazine and The Hill Times has named him one of the "Top 100 Influencing Canadian Foreign Policy.” Questions?     The Department of National Defence (DND), Director Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) will be hosting a Virtual Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems Outlook Day 2023. This event aims to foster communication and engagement between the Government of Canada (GoC) Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems teams, and their supporting industries. The anticipated outcome is to create a better contract environment from conception to delivery of critical items to our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, as well as support continued dialogue between industry and government to work towards consistent delivery of quality products. The objectives of this RFI are: a. To invite supporting industries to identify their interest in attending the forthcoming Virtual Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems Outlook Day on January 25th, 2023 from 0900-1300 as detailed in Annex A; b.     2023 NATO Innovation Hub Symposium
