    Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems Virtual Outlook Day 2023

    The Department of National Defence (DND), Director Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) will be hosting a Virtual Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems Outlook Day 2023. This event aims to foster communication and engagement between the Government of Canada (GoC) Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems teams, and their supporting industries. The anticipated outcome is to create a better contract environment from conception to delivery of critical items to our Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, as well as support continued dialogue between industry and government to work towards consistent delivery of quality products. The objectives of this RFI are: a. To invite supporting industries to identify their interest in attending the forthcoming Virtual Soldier Sensors & Weapon Systems Outlook Day on January 25th, 2023 from 0900-1300 as detailed in Annex A; b. To invite supporting industries to ask questions or request topics of interest to be covered at the event. This is not a guarantee that all requests will be accommodated. c.     2023 NATO Innovation Hub Symposium

    The NATO Innovation Hub is organizing a symposium on January 17, 2023 with the goal of sparking innovation, exchanging best practices, and finding new avenues for collaboration.   This symposium will include panel discussions on subjects including: multi-domain operations, virtual reality, cognitive warfare, innovation, education and training.  All those interested are welcome to attend.     FORUM D’AFFAIRES CANADA-ITALIE SUR L’INTELLIGENCE ARTIFICIELLE

    La 4e édition du Forum d’affaires Canada-Italie sur l’IA est consacrée à l’IA et la cybersécurité. Les dernières années ont mis en évidence la menace des cyberattaques contre les individus, les entreprises et les nations. On a assisté à une forte accélération des trajectoires technologiques et des politiques dédiées à la cybersécurité, et à la croisée des chemins avec le thème de l’intelligence artificielle. Le besoin de cybersécurité semble être une question prioritaire pour la protection et la sauvegarde non seulement des infrastructures dites critiques, de l’espace et de la défense, mais aussi des entreprises, des industries et des consommateurs. Il est néanmoins nécessaire de renforcer la coopération entre les secteurs public et privé pour accélérer l’élaboration de réponses, partager des solutions innovantes et développer les ressources essentielles, tant professionnelles que technologiques, pour relever ce défi. Les gouvernements et les entreprises ne peuvent y faire face seuls; Une collaboration plus intense est nécessaire.
